Spiritual Shapes [Private Training]

Roi had woken up with a few different aches and bruises but he had been patched up for the most part. There was some new scars though. His mom....*ahem*....I mean his Captain scolded him fiercely for his reckless training but he just gave her a warm smile throughout the fussing, making her leave in a huff and once she was gone he prepared to go out and continue his training. But Captain Arashi had already warned his division mates he was to be confined to his room and not allowed to leave HQ for the day at least. He'd been seriously wounded fighting a Menos Grande!

Roi sighed, this time it was his turn ti be exasperated. But he could still train so there was no real problem. Roi gathered his spiritual pressure deciding to start with the noble pressure since it was easier to manipulate. Then he tried his best to condense his spiritual pressure and make a shape out of it. he was going for a sphere to start easy.

Roi carefully molded his spiritual pressure before successfully producing a sphere without any issues, So next he tried to do the same with his wild reiatsu. Of course his wild reiatsu was much more troublesome to manipulate but since it was just a simple sphere Roi managed to get it into the shape of a sphere with minimal effort. After that small victory the next step would be to produce the sphere with both reiatsu's at the same time. This proved to be the most difficult challenge yet as the nature of the two reiatsu were exact opposites of each other and conflicted greatly. But Roi didn't give up he worked and he toiled until finally he had two sphere's with the two different spiritual pressure's!

Roi was happy and praised himself a little before slowly and carefully attempting to combine the two spheres....only to have ti blow up in his face but luckily there was no pain or injury just a superficial explosion. Clearly he was going to have to work really hard to combine versus making shapes out of the separate pressure's. Actually Roi was a very proficient artist so this exercise was an amazingly enjoyable one for him. He'd actually learned it from his Lieutenant. This could also help him use his wild and noble persona's simultaneously more often then maybe he wouldn't bicker within himself so much. Roi sighed as he went back to working on trying to combine the two sphere's of pressure.

Roi sat peacefully in his bed in a meditative position constantly doing his best too combine the two different natured sphere's. He tried many different ways and focused on them carefully and practicing diligently. After a few hours he finally managed to combine the two and the familiar Imperial Primal pressure exuded from the new bigger sphere. This was what happened when his two reiatsu nature's and persona's combined. It created a Sovereign. After continuing this same practice for an hour Roi made sure he could now combine the two sphere's with ease. He felt it was now time to work on the next step of the exercise.

Now that he got the sphere down he moved on to making a cube, Making a cube was only a little more complicated then making the sphere. After practicing for a while Roi could make the cube from both spiritual pressure but combining the two in their new shape was difficult. Roi struggled with it finagling the reiatsu and this time it only took one hour to construct the imperial primal cube. Once that was finally accomplished Roi once again worked to produce this same result over and over again before he could make a cube out of his imperial reiatsu without breaking a sweat. He then went back to making spheres and then cube again switching between the two practicing his control and speed.

Next step would be making a sphere and a cube at the same time. To do this he would have to practice forming too different shapes at once with his reiatsu without letting one shape influence the other. Luckily as a qualified Medic Roi was a pretty good multi-tasker so so long as he worked hard this should be possible to do for him. Roi concentrated carefully having decided only to use one reiatsu type at a time first and build up to using different shapes with different reiatsu. It took a few hours and a lot of wasted reiatsu but Roi managed to make a sphere and cube simultaneously out of his noble reiatsu....

Roi wiped the sweat from his head and looked out his window to see that it was starting to get late but there was still a little more he wanted to do tonight before bed. After reassuring his Captain who came in to check on him and worried he was being to active, Roi began working on making a sphere and cube simultaneously with his beast reiatsu. It wasn't as much of a struggle since he'd been working on manipulating his beast reiatsu all day. After managing this step the real next step was making the sphere and cube with the two different spiritual pressure's. This took Roi half the night to accomplish successfully and by the time he was done he could barely keep his eye's open......

Roi yawned deeply before getting completely into his bed and curling up in the little ball he was used to sleeping in with his tails wrapped around him as he hugged some of his tails like a teddy bear. Roi then quickly fell into a slightly fitful sleep. His fox ears twitched more then usual and he squirmed a bit uncomfortably. It was the MOST adorable thing ever. As he dreamed he was dreaming of practiced making shapes with his reiatsu. Even in his sleep he was training! Dream Roi was working hard to make cubes and stack them up like lego blocks. And he would make sphere's and throw them to a random direwolf that was his pet for some reason and the direwolf fetched it and was able to catch his spiritual pressure ball as if it was a normal ball for some reason. There was so much training going on in his dream it could hardly be called a restful sleep!

Despite the somewhat restless sleep Roi still opened his eye's groggily and decisively went right back to training. Before he went to sleep he'd trained on making the cube and sphere fro two different spiritual pressure's. This morning he practiced this more until he could do so interchangeably. Once he was reassured of that he started working on more geometric shapes such as the pyramid, cone, and cylinder. Each new shape was tricky in it's own way but after all the practice with the sphere and the cube, it wasn't too difficult to master the new shapes. Roi enjoyed himself learning various shapes and repeating the exercises done for the sphere and cube with them.....

After having had his fun training the various geometric shapes there was one of two paths he could take next. He could either practice making 2D pictures and art with his spiritual pressure which was the most difficult version of this exercise, or he could continue to build to that and work on making detailed sculptures of spiritual pressure. Compared to detailed 2D art detailed sculptures and 3D art was easier to accomplish when doing these spiritual pressure molding exercises especially since most kido was molded in a more 3D based fashion as it was easier to make swiftly with less precision needed. If this was actual art this wouldn't necessarily be true. Roi thought about it and decided to continue building up so he started on shaping his spiritual pressure carefully.

The first thing he would attempt to make was a model airplane. He started by making a cylinder with his spiritual pressure that lay down flat. This would be the base for the body. Roi then began to manipulate and change the reiatsu so that it would look more like th body of a model airplane. This shape was more complex then the normal geometric shapes and it took a while until something barely passable as a body was made. Next he worked on making the three flaps on the back, the tail wing or whatever they were called. Thet were smaller and more detailed so he was careful as he added them and had to start over twice before getting a generally good set of tail wings.

Roi worked on the wings of the model airplane next taking time to smooth it out and work it into the overall design. Like this Roi spent a good length of time on his first spiritual sculpture design. He modified, enhanced, and completely trashed and remade it over and over again until he had a perfectly beautiful model airplane made of spiritual pressure. He even put in a little more extra effort to get the propeller in the front to move as if it was a working model. After perfecting it Roi moved on and tried to think of more simple designs to try. After half the day he ended up making a shoe, sword, straw hat, and bracelet. So he decided it should be time for a harder design...

What was the next design he had in mind? A raven....the bird that is...yes he would make a bird. It wouldn't be a living one as that would not be posible without using his zanpakuto and he preferred to focus on his own pure reiatsu control. So Roi set about working on making a bird out of his reiatsu. He started from the talons and worked his way up. Roi spent the rest of the day working on the bird made of reiatsu doing his best to make it as life-like as possible. From the smallest feather to the most obvious beak every detail was worked over constantly but he still was not satisfied. Eventually he had to call it a night and let himself pick it up in the morning.

Tonight was another night dreaming about training. In this dream Roi constantly shaped ravens made of spiritual pressure as he watched a flock of ravens flying above him singing with a human voice in a beautiful haunting melody magnified by the dreamy delight of the voice. It was so beautiful but actually a little terrifying. Roi continued to make imperfect ravens and they would fly away from him changing and becoming real perfect ravens and joining the chorus in the sky by the time the dream was nearly over the sky and his very surroundings were nearly choking with the black flapping figures and the haunting lullaby as if desperate to steal a soul yet Roi was so busy with his training he never even registered he was having a nightmare. He awoke with a chill down his spine but he wasn't quite sure why.

Roi was fired up now and he wanted to hurry and finish his raven he was sure he would get it today. Maybe it was the half day of practice yesterday or the dream of monotonous practicing but once Roi started shaping his spiritual pressure again it didn't take him long to form a perfect raven with beautiful detail. Roi went ahead to practice the same with his other reiatsu and that didn't take him long to get the hang of either. Roi was so happy he jumped for joy before a loud gurgling made him realize he hadn't eaten at all the past two days with all the constant training. Embarrassed Roi went ahead and went to the kitchen to scrounge up a hearty meal and scarfed it down before jumping back to training immediately deciding on his next project which he decided would be a Lieutenant Outfit made out of reiatsu.

Roi was focused once again on his newest idea for a spiritual design. He had worked hard to prepare for his own ascent into a Lieutenant so he was very intimately familiar with how the uniform looked. Thread by thread down to the most miniature design's Roi worked diligently on making the lieutenant uniform which only had a few differences in quality more then actual difference from a normal shinigami out fit. The biggest thing he worked on was the Lieutenant badge that was what separated the Lieutenant's from the seated shinigami and unseated shinigami. With his hard the work the spiritual badge looked real enough to touch with a beautiful rendition of the Division symbol.  

After working up a sweat and finishing the spiritual outfit Roi looked at it in admiration for a moment before he remembered a certain memory in his head. The memory was filled with Icy blue eyes that made the world seem so much more interesting. With a sudden determination Roi began to add to his spiritual creation. After a moment a figure of what seemed like a cape started to form and after a little longer it was clear to see what Roi was making! Roi added on a Captain's Haori to the Lieutenant outfit. This embarrassingly enough had been stuck in his mind for quite a while too. Only the Haori stuck in his mind bared a different symbol then the fourth division symbol Roi placed on the one he had made.

Roi looked at his finished creation with a solemn expression. It seemed as if his desires were leaking into his training now. What was this? With a heavy sigh the fox waved his had dissipating the spiritual outfit. "It should nearly be time for me to start working on drawing (2D) with my reiatsu." Roi decided to make one more 3D creation before starting to draw. After thinking about it for a while he decided to make a miniature sculpture of the Menos Grande he'd fought. The thing was etched deeply into his mind along with the fact that he had indeed been very close to death when facing it. He worked on this statue for the rest of the day and into the night. his spiritual pressure seemed to flow in and fill in some of the details itself after it had been exposed to the hollow as much as it had. When he was finally done the sculpture looked so much like the hollow it was creepy and with a flick of his finger the spiritual sculpture shattered.

"Let's move on...."

Roi was finally ready to draw. But what would he draw? After thinking about he decided to start with the picture of the sun. Roi gathered spiritual pressure into the point of his finger for a bit. After gathering enough of it he focused on changing it's consistency and purpose. It was easier to use the noble reiatsu for this since art and elegance were compatible with nobility. This was the first step and it was already very difficult. Changing the consistency, purpose, and sometimes even the nature of spiritual pressure was a fundamental lesson for Kido practitioners but it wasn't as easy as it sounded. Most shinigami had barely scratched the surface on TRULY understanding this principle but they did not need to delve to deep of they were not planning on specializing in kido. Roi worked diligently to change his reiatsu.

The consistency he wanted was thick but flexible....no.....malleable. Like ink or paint. The purpose should be to create and inspire. And the nature should be elgant or artistic. Something along those lines After experimenting for a while Roi managed to finally produce a spiritual power that flowed from his finger like ink. He used his desk as the canvas as it was still to difficult to figure out how to allow the reiatsu to be drawan in the air while maintaining a suitable consistency for drawing. Next step was control and output. Roi was a virtuoso when it came to art but the sayiing went an artist is nothing without his tools. Which isn't all that accurate when you're as skilled as him but in this case it fit. Roi's first attempt to draw a sun looked like a kindergartner had entered an art contest and thought they could win.

The problem was this was a new way of using reiatsu so it wasn't as easy to control it and not only that the output was hard to adjust so there was a lot of moments like a pen spilling ink blots and even moments lie a pen that clearly had ink not writing and having to emotionally scribble to the side of the paper to get the pen to write. But this was something that only had one cure: PRACTICE. With a lot of practice Roi eventually fine tuned his "Tool" and he started drawing a beautiful morning sun with his finger and his spiritual pressure.

Nect thing to work on was the thickness of the spiritual ink. When drawing you needed different sized lines and shades and shadows for different parts if you wanted to draw things more complex the the sun. And all of that had to come from one tool which was his spiritual pressure. After preparing himself he began to practice manipulating the size and shades of his spiritual pressure until he was sure he could draw more flexibly. After about an hour or two Roi was confident in his ability to try more complicated drawings. And he knew exactly what he should use to test out his new proficiency with his finger (pun intended).

Roi began to draw the flower that was the symbol of the fourth division. Every time there was a mistake he scattered the spiritual pressure and started over from the beginning so it took longer then it might have but after hours of work a beautiful flower seemed to be blooming on his desk as the picture made with spiritual power almost seemed to pop out at him. Damn he was a good artist! After admiring his handiwork for a while Roi scattered the picture and started drawing other pictures. He drew a fish, a katanna, a ring, and a horseshoe. After that he was ready to work on his first spiritual masterpiece!

A blush slid onto Roi's face as he knew what he wanted to draw. Gathering his spiritual pressure a bright smiling face with Icy blue eyes and inky black hair was framed in the center of his mind. Roi allowed his mind, finger, and spirtual pressure to move all it's own as the face ingrained so deeply into his heart flowed easily through him and onto the makeshift canvas of his desk. Was this what a serious crush was like? 'Doesn't this mean I'm screwed?' Roi couldn't so anything but sigh at his irresponsible heart as he finished the drawing. He frowned then and realized that he had only half finished and there was still a lot left undone. The he realized the details were to fine for his finger to do even with the control he had worked so hard on before!

However this hic up didn't stop him! He was very motivated! For no reason in particular.......*cough, cough*....anyway Roi's solution was to make a paint brush out of spiritual power and to channel his spiritual ink through that. It only took a few tries and after a while His masterpiece was done and a near photograph looking image of his close friend/crush was staring up at him. Roi would never admit how long he sat there staring at that picture but he would claim he was meditating over all he'd learned from his training. After he finished staring Roi actually did meditate over everything he'd learned from training for twenty minutes. Then he stretched and looked out the window to see daylight and he realized it was already a new day and he'd been training non-stop for a full day and a half. The exauhstion suddenly hit him all at once and as he passed out on his floor before he could make it to the bed he couldn't help but think: 'Mom's gonna kill me!'
