Mission Time! [Yato/Roi]

Mission!:

Yato looked up from the mountain of paperwork on his desk, it looks like there was still a day and a halfs worth of paper work left there. Letting out a sigh, he was actually surprised to see the Captain of fourth division in his doorway. Looking over, she approached and told him about her responsibility to take her lieutenant and go on a patrol of the human world, but she was busy healing an injured academy student of potentially fatal wounds and wouldn't be able to go. So she wanted Yato to go, since he was already acquainted with Roi. He smiled and agreed, this would be a good break from his work after all. He headed to the gateway to meet Roi, where they would travel to the human world.

Roi nearly grit his teeth in frustration. His mother had insisted on dragging him along on this patrol right after she'd made him deal with most (all) of her paperwork and then she'd actually ditched at the last minute? She didn't even tell him what they were even going to the World of the Living for. It's not exactly a place they were allowed to come and go as they pleased and he had to wear a ridiculous gigai because of his demi-human features. Well luckily he'd pulled some favors and got one that looked like his zanpakuto spirit....He was finally Tall! Well anyway he'd been waiting at the gate when his mother message arrived informing him she couldn't make it and she was sending a stand in. If it hadn't been delivered by such a cute butterfly he might've fought the messenger! Anyway what exactly was taking this guy so long? "Who do they think they are some type.....of.....Captain...."

'Oh.'

Yato would wave to Roi as he approached the gate. It would seem he was ready for action, already in his Gigai, while Yato was already in his as well. It looked much like his normal self, but with human clothes. "Roi! Its good to see you. I suppose I will be your fill in partner for today. From what I understand it should be a simple patrol, so nothing to worry about." With that, he would motion for Roi to follow him through the gate, leaving them standing in a park in the human world. It was now time to begin their patrol.

This was Roi's first time coming to the World of the Living....that he could remember. Brushing aside his missing memories Roi started to look around at his surroundings. The world of the Living was an interesting looking place and the area they stood in....a....park, he believed....was filled with nature and made him feel even stronger. He was also trying to get used to being tall temporarily. The park was full of humans and Roi was a little surprised how weak their spiritual presences were. "Is this supposed to be normal?" Roi turned to ask Yato and explained his observation. Even the spirits in the Runkongai district had a stronger presence then this. As he would hopefully be in the middle of the Captain actually explaining things to him he would suddenly feel a spiritual presence much stronger then anyone there and the sound of screams and terror followed it! Roi locked eye's with Yato before turning that way and preparing to follow the Captain to the source of the powerful spiritual pressure.

Yato stretched in his Gigai, he always felt so constrained in these things. He would also take note of Roi's reaction to seeing the human realm for the first time. Its always interesting to see how people react to it. The Reishi here was not as dense as it was in the Seireitei, so most people were surprised at how much weaker they felt. He was about to respond when he felt a large spiritual pressure from the city. He would immediately shed his Gigai, putting it into some bushes to hide it. He would then rush towards the pressure, upon getting closer he heard explosions and other sounds, and upon coming into a crossing in the street the two would see a humanoid monster in the city. It was eating people and destroying the city. It had four arms and two massive horns on its head. It was clearly a Vasto Lorde Class Hollow, he was amazed, those were extremely rare. "Prepare yourself this is going to be a tough fight."

Roi followed Captain Blue's example dumping his gigai in the bushes before following after the Captain. When he arrived looked at the situation seriously his reiatsu had it's Primordial Imperial pressure going which meant both sides were in action and he was more steady then normal. After doing a quick review of the little he'd seen of the Vasto Lorde and hearing Captain's Blue's advice he decided on a proper course of action. He hadn't done a serious spar with the Captain yet but from the few times they'd fought both together and sparring against each other, Roi knew Yato's fighting power far exceeded his. While Roi was a kido/Reiatsu specialist. His strengths fell more under the control class. After the quick analysis Roi told Yato what he was planning before he started to chant and manipulate his Reiatsu. "I'll use my skills with control and kido to attempt to restrain it, you should be able to fight head-to head with it that way!"

Roi pured extra Reiatsu into the third spell attempting to make a huge barrier around the three of them to minimize the damage of this fight, R&D would thank him later. The other two would head toward the Vasto Lorde hopefully along with Captain Yato to work together properly!

Yato would spring into action as well, drawing his blade and yelling out "BANKAI!" His blade underwent a drastic transformation and he was surrounded by an immense pressure, which he directed to the Hollow in question. It roared as it was restrained by the powerful Kido and began to charge up a powerful cero between its horns as it let out a horrifyingly high pitched scream. This was not going to be good if they didn't nip this in the bud immediately. "FUJIN!" He would swing his sword sending a massive wave of pressure at the beast, it would negate the Cero, devastate the ground and crack the barrier slightly behind the beast. It was among his most powerful moves after all.

Roi would notice not only the crack in the barrier but that the hollow was already beginning to shatter some of the restraints. He felt his expression darken. "I refuse to be the pig teammate!" Using Shunpo Roi appeared above the hollow off to the right where he should be out of the way of attacks from both Yato and the hollow. He hoped that it would focus on the bigger threat, Captain Yato, as by the way he was breaking through it's restraints this hollow was no joke at all. Roi briefly recalled his face down with the almost-gillian all that time ago. If this thing had appeared instead....he might be dead by now! Roi gripped his katana with force and began to awaken it... "Reign throughout the-" The hollow must have sensed his intent, and it had already managed to free one arm, because suddenly a sword made of bone sprung right for him!

Yato saw Roi rush forwards, it was obvious to him that he didn't want to feel useless in the battle, but he didn't seem to realize how crucial his role was. He was their defense line, their only line of defense. It was too late now though, The sword of bone had formed, and as soon as he saw it begin to form he would be in action, using a Shunpo, he would appear next to them, a hand gripping the Hollows wrist, holding it firmly in place while in his other hand, he had used his pommel to push Roi back several meters all within the span of a millisecond. He was serious now.

Roi cursed violently under his breath at his miscalculation. Yato may have had the greater power but any idot could tel his control was actually the biggest thorn. A normal hollow may have not had the intelligence to see that but this was a Vasto Lorde! He'd seriously underestimated it! Not anymore though."Reign Throughout the Primal Earth, Kyojin Kingu Akusesarī!" In less then a second the familiar crown and bracer's was on him and Roi acted immediately! "Serve me O' Ancient Grove dwelling in forgotten Eden!" Using this chant Roi channeled even stronger reiatsu into his shikai technique and a small grove of tree's appeared around the hollow in a restrictive formation with spiritual vines running throughout them completely binding the hollow who should've just gotten rig of 80% of the previous restrictions. Roi's monstrous reiatsu was the only reason he could stay in this fight to start with and since he'd activated his shikai the hollow better not even think of breaking these restraint's so easily. "And I'm not done yet!" Roi was back in the groove despite his earlier hicccup thanks to Captain Yato and as Captain Yato seriously fought the Vasto Lorde Roi began to chant his own attack. This would be the first actual attack he would make but once finished chanting and channeling he would hold the strike far above the hollow and wait for an opening where he wouldn't affect Captain Yato's fight. As soon as he found one he bhring down the Thunder God's Hammer!

"Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!"

Thor's Manhood!:

Upon seeing the lightning strike forming, Yato would flashstep away after turning the beasts own bone blade against itself. Stabbing it in its left pectoral with the blade, he would appear out of range as Roi fired a massive lightning bolt at the beast. It was totally decimated by the power of the blast and was left barely hanging on to its life. It was clear that if it wasn't restrained, it would be retreating now, but it was unable to move and as such attempted to fire another Cero, which Yato blocked with his Bankai by stabbing the beast in the face. He would then set its entire body ablaze in black flames while speaking one word, "Amaterasu." Once the beast was dealt with, he would turn back to Roi, "You okay?"

Roi felt himself blush and his heart started beating irregularly. Why did Little Blue look so cool just now?! Come to think of it, he'd been flushed ever since Yato had saved him. There was practically hearts floating above his head right now and he felt tongue tied. Roi had no clue what was going on, he'd never felt like this before....he still hadn't realized his crush had turned into him falling head over heels already. Instead he swallowed once....twice.....three times and then finally replied. "Think I'm catching a fever Blu, but I'm fine.....*ahem*....uh....I underestimated it....uh.....sorry." He felt bad about nearly ruining the flow of battle but his skin was flushing uncomfortably already and he couldn't focus to well especially the closer Yato got to him. (Is this idiot actually getting lovesick?) Well the adorable fox actually looked pretty cute flushed and fidgety but he should probably let go of his shikai before his reiatsu runs out and he passes out again. Someone should tell him that....right.....anyone?

Yato heard Roi speaking. It was clear that his Shikai was draining more Reiatsu than it should have been due to the different atmosphere in the living world. So, he would dash over, appearing in front of him catching him in a manner that would drape him over Yato's back. He would carry him back to the Seireitei where he would be given immediate medical treatment. "You did good, Roi." was all he had said when he caught the passing out lieutenant. He on the other hand, had gone straight home to rest and recuperate before another boring day in the office.

Roi awoke later with conflicted feelings. There was still a warmth in his chest and strange thoughts of a certain Captain in his head. "This is going to really distract me. Sigh. My eyes are to big I think." Roi seemed to begin to understand what was going on with him, but what was impossible was impossible after all. Roi briefly recalled the tiniest moment before he passed out and the broad back of the man he ....admired. He smiled warmly before wiping the moment and the troublesome feelings from his mind. All the precious memories with Yato had something essential taken from them and while they still remained warm and bright like that of good friends should there might always be something missing now. "This is for the best. I need to get ready soon....to take my place as Captain....And to find out the truth about my origins...well maybe...Captain First."
