Hail Hydra [Flashback Mission]

Mission:

Kosuke was walking down the street, on his way to once again meet with Janus. The two had actually become friends, in his book at least. It tended to happen when two people experienced life or death battles multiple times within a short time period. He walked a bit slower than normal as today was not one of the days he felt all that healthy, but he felt well enough not to be stuck indoors all day. He walked to their normal meeting spot at the coffee shop, but was stopped by a small crowd gathering in the street for a man wearing awfully Nazi-like clothing. The man was shouting about raising a new Reich rather loudly in a thick german accent. Kosuke literally couldn't help but listen because he couldn't make his way around the crowd. The man seemed to imply that he would resurrect Hitler. That sounded bad.

Janus wandered to Kosuke, she was hoping he felt a little better than the last time they had gotten beaten senseless, which seemed to happen to them a lot.  She had remembered to feed her coat and wore a shirt bearing the legend "Nazis are villains too".   She actually liked Kosuke, deciding that while he usually got her nearly dead, he was also more likely to save her from her own stupidity.  Which for Janus was about every other action she took.

When she heard the man screaming about the Reich and in his German accent, she responded to him in German, something about the fact that the Reich had fallen and they should leave it at that.  She also mentioned that ressurecting anyone seemed like a worse idea than the best ideas she had, which were few and far between.  After dueling whits in a tongue much closer to her own native, she was still speaking German as she said "Guttentag." to Kosuke.  Before simply saying.  "Hey, this probably sounds like it will end badly, should we do the hero thing and give him possible brain damage or leave him alone?"

Kosuke chuckled as Janus arrived and began speaking in german to the man. That was just like her. She then suggested doing the 'hero thing' which would most likely involve the two of them punching the man back into the time period he came from. He would sigh before stepping to the side, choking back a cough and covering his mouth to catch the blood before it could escape. "I suppose you're right, but you may do the honors. It's only right for him to receive an ass beating in his native tongue." He would motion in an overly dramatic gentleman gesture to the man, knowing she could take him in her sleep.

Janus gave the man a verbal tongue thrashing that really wasn't for children. Luckily, it was in German and not Japanese. She screamed at him and him back at her about how great the Reich was and how the mustached moron was going to bring them back into power before she finally lost it, and punched the man through a dam wall. He wasn't dead, but he wasn't going to be doing anything for the next few months judging by the amount of broken bones. Janus actually gave herself props by smiling and brushing off her shoulder. "Kosuke, lets get a tea or something!" She stated happily

Kosuke would laugh as it seemed she had enjoyed her little display of knocking the man more than unconscious, but through an entire wall. He wouldn't be raising anyone from the dead like that, and maybe once he recovered he would still think twice before trying anything foolish. With someone like her around, you wouldn't want to do something dumb like reviving hitler. She suggested that the two of them go for tea, well, the coffee shop was in sight, and they served tea so why not. "Sure, sounds good. That guy won't ruin my day haha!"

Janus laughed to herself and followed Kosuke to the coffee shop. As she walked in and the ring when off she actualy looked around like something bad was going to happen. God forbid she ever paid attention to her own power. She looked around before speaking. "So Kosuke, how much do you know about these extra dimensional thingys." She asked before looking at the barista. Janus sucked in a breath slowly. "My bad...." She ordered a tea before going back to listen to Kosuke's answer.

Kosuke observed the way she reacted when the bell dinged. The events the two of them had been through were enough to make anyone edgy, so he didn't think much of it. Her question did send his mind whirring with possible answers. What did he know about them... They ate humans, they came from somewhere that was NOT the earth and they looked weird... That left only one logical answer as far as he was concerned and after placing his order of a small coffee and allowing the waitress to leave, he would lean in closer to give his response... "Aliens."

Janus looked Kosuke and her eyes lit up. "OMG ARE THERE PREDATORS TOO, DO THEY HAVE FACEHUGGER?!" She asked as if all the sudden every piece of pop culture she liked was suddenly real. "That is amazing." She said taking her tea and smiling happily after the waitress came back. While Janus could see the future, it was pretty obvious that the self-proclaimed Hero of Time. "Does that also mean that every penny dreadful is real!? Does that mean that Superman was one of us?!
Oh my god, was Ridley's Walker real too?!"

Kosuke had to admit... it sounded more and more crazy the more that they talked about it and when the waiter cam back with their beverages he would take his coffee and sip it slowly, mind running everything over. "Its possible. I mean, they came from the sky! So it only makes sense." He wasn't sure what all of this meant, but he knew that they were really just grasping at straws. There had to be more to it than just.. aliens. It had to be bigger, more, just.. something! He had no idea though, so he couldn't supply any more cohesive answers.

Janus blinked basically all the cool things she liked could now be real.  Aliens, predators and a ton of other things like superheroes and manga protogonists were no longer out of the realm of point for her.  She liked that idea lot and she wasn't entirely sure why.  It was like being told that everything parents aid didn't exist not only did but on a massive scale.

"That is amazing, but how do you explain the transdimensional travel?!"  That was the one thing that Janus' divination had taught her.   They didn't actually come from the sky, they had shifted dimensions somehow.

Kosuke was stumped with that one.. He had no response for the interdimensional whatsahoosit. He was totally out of his realm when it came to that stuff. He wasn't overly educated due to being homeschooled his whole life, and even then only sparsely due to his sickness. He had no idea how to begin explaining away some form of interdimensional travel system that a lifeform of no doubt superior intelligence used. But, he would give it his best shot. Mind you, while he wasn't a genius, he did always try his best at everything he did, so when he leaned across the table once more, he gave his best possible answer, "...aliens..."

Janus shrugged.  It made some sense and left her with more questions than answers.  At least Kosuke had an answer, Janus never did and she probably wouldn't only because of how her power worked.  She sipped at her tea before leaving a large tip on the table because of her own job in Hospitality and starting to get up before locking looks with the young man.  Janus wanted to be a hero, didn't mean that she was and she felt guilty that she couldn't do anything to help his sickness.  As the person that kept dragging her along had mentioned, she wasn't allowed to save everyone because it just wasn't possible.  She hated that thought as she stretched.   "More than I knew yesterday, any information on why some are strong and others arent?"  The Diviner asked finally. She didn't wait for an answer though, she let her divination do the rest as she waved goodbye to him and hoped she would see the young man soon.
