Hollow mission 3

A crack appeared somewhere- an insignificant feat for most matters. This crack however, was quite significant.. and very large. It ushered in a powerful spiritual being from the soul devouring world of Hueco Mundo: a place of near lawlessness- the only law, was the law of the jungle. Eat or be eaten. Speaking of which, eating was the reason this spiritual being cracked the sky and invaded the world of the living- the eat.

As it was a spiritual being, the regular masses would not notice the presence. Their lives remained wholly unchanged and they noticed absolutely nothing. Tiamat had entered the world of the living once more- how many years had it been? She didn't know exactly. Not in over one thousand years at least.

There were spiritual counter measures set in place to prevent beings like Tiamat from entering the world of the living, unopposed. These counter measures were in the forms of other spiritual beings- a feudal system of spiritual warriors known as shinigami. Warriors or angels of death. They served to keep the balance between the living and spiritual worlds. Beings such as Tiamat, a hollow- upset such a delicate balance.

A being as big and powerful as her, was surely to catch the local shinigami's attention. Typically a shinigami was assigned to various towns. Tiamat's size was that of a skyscraper and her spiritual power easily doubled that size. As she fully entered the world of the living, the shinigami took notice of her presence and took up pursuit before she could have her meal.

A school was nearby, a child's school. It was not the weekend, no... it was in the middle of the week and very busy. The perfect ideal for a hungry being such as herself. While children held very little spiritual energy, their souls were pure white and tasted delicious. Possibly that was what drew Tiamat's attention to this place. In either case, it seemed that her delicious meal would be hard earned.

Just as she was about to reach down and destroy the wall to grab her meat stick snacks, the shinigami dashed in and blocked her hand with a powerful kick. The kick was strong enough to deflect her fist, but the impact caused the glass on the wall behind, to shatter. Children and teachers screamed in surprise as the windows seemed to shatter for no reason.

Some children were hurt by the shattered glass, but that was minor compared to what Tiamat intended to do to every tiny soul there. "You fiend! Go back to hell!" said the shinigami, angrily shouting at the tall black curtain of death known as Tiamat. Her only response was a guttural sound that could be interpreted as laughter- a taunt.

It was true enough that this shinigami was quite powerful- strong enough to pose a threat to Tiamat. As she realized this, it enraged her. She could not stand to be provoked or looked down upon. Her sickening laughter and creepy smile, were replaced by a shrill shriek that shattered even more windows around the nearby buildings. As she shriked, her reiatsu took shape around her and created two large wyven hollows. Not quite as big as Tiamat herself, each being roughly half her size.

An idea had been formulated in Tiamat's head. This shinigami was here to stop her from eating the tasty morsels and protect them. They held very little value to Tiamat... the shinigami was a more suitable meal. Which meant that the easiest way to deal with the shinigami, was to force his hand in an unfavorable situation. Though her spiritual pressure arose, she showed very little sign of change- well except the fact that she turned her attention away from the shinigami and back to the children's school building.

She would open her mouth suddenly and laugh as she released her cero dragon flame over the building. The shinigami, surprised, moved as fast as he could and erected a barrier between her flames and the building. He stood behind the barrier to reinforce it, hoping that her attack would relent so he could counter.

Though he was powerful, he was not as cunning as Tiamat, nor did he have the numbers to favor the situation. Tiamat had intentionally not used her full power in the cero. No, she just needed to immobilize the shinigami and distract him for a moment. With her continued stream of fiery cero breathe, her two wyvern hollow moved to act. They moved to circumvent his barrier and fired a cero each of their own- both beam attacks at the locaiton the shinigami was blocking from the other direciton.

His back being fully exposed, he tried to erect a second barrier behind him. This time however, Tiamat pulled no punches. She channeled her full spiritual power into her wyverns' ceros and easily punched through the shinigami's rear barrier. The result was that the school beneath was annihilated and the shinigami suffered severe damage. His body being a wreck, he stood no chance as Tiamat reached through the front of his deactivated barrier and grabbed the man. She squeezed tightly, crushing his bones and forcing him to drop his sword- then, she opened her mouth and tossed him inside with a sickening crunch.
