Purpose: To eliminate the Hollow and Shinigami threat to mankind from the shadows. They were formed as a response to the Shinigami seemingly hunting down Quincy for no reason.

History: The Wandenreich was formed by a group of Quincy in response to the seemingly baseless attack on quincy around the Human World by Shinigami. They waged the first Blood War against the Soul Society and then branched off to battling Hollows and defending the human population from the shadows after battling the Shinigami to a stalemate.

The Sternritter (星十字騎士団 (シュテルンリッター), shuterunrittā; German for "Star Knights", Japanese for "Star Cross Knight Band/Order") is group of elite Quincy combatants.

The Jagdarmee (狩猟部隊 (ヤークトアルメー), yākutoarumē; German for "Hunt(ing) Army", Japanese for "Hunting Corps"; Viz "Hunt Army") of Hueco Mundo is a hunting unit which, in the wake of Hueco Mundo's conquest by the Wandenreich, is entrusted with capturing Arrancar to serve the empire.
