Missions for this topic:

Yato rolled out of bed with a smile on his face. He was steadily growing stronger and soon, he was going to approach his Lieutenant about a promotional test. But, for today, he would be going about taking on the more difficult missions that he qualified for. Today would mark his first day functioning as a higher level Shinigami. Sure, some of the tasks were simple, but others were actually befitting one of his position. Making his way out of his house while strapping Tengetsu to his back, he would head to the mission board to collect the cards he would be working on today.

Roi dragged himself out of his home with a yawn. Despite being exhausted his moves still carried his normal smooth elegance. He dawdled lazily down the road heading towards the building shinigami received their missions from. Ma' Arashi had scolded him for sleeping in and being lazy all day and she'd sent him out to be "active" and told him to go do some missions. Well it couldn't be helped he was normally a little too laid back so he guessed he should roll up his sleeves and do some work for once. After all he still fully intended to succeed Ma' Arashi's Captain position. As Roi got himself pumped up innerly he remained calm and aloof on the outside as he arrived ready to grab his first mission in a while.

Picking up the cards, he would notice another Shinigami approaching. The thing that stuck out the most was his animalistic appearance. But, having been around as long as he had, Yato wasn't really judgmental based on looks or anything like that. He judged people based on their character and actions as opposed to looks. "Yo! I'm Yato of the First Division! Are you looking to take on a few missions too? If so, you are more than welcome to tag along with me, inter division training and all that!" He would introduce himself with a cheery smile, holding out a fist for his new acquaintance to bump.

As Roi walked up and was greeted by the other shinigami although he didn't show it he got the sudden urge to mess with this friendly fellow, maybe prank him a bit. His wild side seemed to stir a bit as if peeking out interested at the fun causing his calm spiritual presence to fluctuate with a wild intent for the slightest second before he pushed the curious fox down. "Roiyarubīsuto, Fourth Division, don't listen to the rumors of me there's no telling which ones are true. Sure I'll totally contribute and not think of slacking while you do most of the work, what why perish the very thought...*ahem* Well what should we do?" As he introduced himself he was considering which mission required the least of his efforts to take care of thus he accidentally allowed some playfulness into his words. Combined with his rugged good looks, calm exterior, and his deep velvet-like voice it almost seemed he was flirting.

As the other Shinigami spoke, Yato was left thinking which mission of the ones he grabbed should they take on first. Deciding, he would then speak to the other Shinigami, "Well, I guess heading to the Academy to give a demonstration on basic Shinigami skills would be the quickest. Shouldn't take long to show the trainees some basic technique. I do not have any skill in Kido though, but, given you are in the Fourth Division, you probably have that covered, ne?" He scratched the back of his head embarrassed that he didn't know any Kido, he had simply never needed it before is all.

"Hmm, I have some skills I suppose." Roi had reigned in his unintentional flirtatious demeanor and replied calmly. "In that case lead the way cu...*ahem* Yato." Roi said this in a psuedo-serious tone but accidentally nearly slid more flirting in. 'Who knows how old this cutie is? I'm not ready to risk it' With those thoughts firmly rooted in his mind now Roi shook his head and prepared to head toward the academy. "Coming?" Before he would head off he would look back toward Yato to see if he was coming along after all. He had already to just show off his specialty. Kaido. 'Guess even I have to work hard every once in a while. This guy.' Roi conveniently blamed his sudden work ethic on the poor unsuspecting Yato.

Yato chuckled at the weird manner that Roi acted. He had internally decided to call him Roi, simply because his name was a long one, so he would be shortening it. Once he followed Roi to the Academy, they were ushered inside to a large room with a training circle in the middle with several dummies. Around the circle were roughly fifty Academy Students, waiting anxiously to see the skills of actual Shinigami in action. Yato would take the lead, starting with things he could handle. "Alright, listen up! One of the most important skills for a Shinigami to learn is Shunpo! I will demonstrate the most basic application, using only 10% of my speed so that you'll be able to see." With that he would still vanish from some of their views before reappearing, clicking Tengetsu back into its sheath, one of the three dummies suddenly falling into pieces, looking like it had been put through the shredder. Turning to Roi he would smirk slightly, "Alright, knock em dead fox guy!" He would then follow that with a hushed, "Not literally..." Just in case.

Roi who had been lazing about since they arrived blinked a few times at the unexpected pun or sarcasm or whatever that was. 'Crap this guy is too cute!' This is what he thought inside but outside other then the few blinks he remained a picture of calm serenity. "Alright then Baby Blues. Stand back for me." This time his spiritual pressure completely changed and there was a playful smirk on his face instead of calm laziness as well as a competitive spark in his eyes. His reiatsu was wild and unbridled and all thoughts of just demonstrating some Kaido flew ou the window as he pointed superfluously at a dummy while locking eyes with Yato. From his speech to his gaze there was a full flirtatious teasing going on now. Roi could only think, 'Uh Oh he managed to sneak out.' as a bolt of spiritual lightning hit the dummy perfectly in the center as Roi's eyes staid locked on Yato's and he raised his brow in a victorious manner, as if something had been one. 'This embarrassing person! I don't know him...I'll pretend this isn't happening.'

Yato smirked at his new friends skill and competitive nature. It was good that he was meeting so many competitive people these days, from Ragar to Roi now he had several rivals to work with. Once they had completed their demonstration, the teacher thanked them, paid them, and then sent them on their way. Now it was time to take on the second mission card he had picked up for the day. Glancing over to see if Roi had followed him out, he would show him the card they were going to be completing next, "I think we should go about helping this Miner next, should be simple enough, even with the challenges listed there."

Roi chuckled. As expected this cute guy was pretty clueless. Well since he had a chance to let loose now there was no need to be polite. "Alright Baby Blue's lead the way then." Roi really did love Yato's eyes. Roi would give him one more appreciating look before stretching with a growl. After working out his kinks he would follow his new cute friend doing his best to keep his purring low so he wouldn't embarrass himself. A good stretch always made him purr. Roi was nearly bouncing on his feet with excessive energy. He really wanted to fight something. As they were making their way towards these mines Roi briefly considered if he should start a fight with Yato....

Once they arrived at the mine, the miner came out to speak with them immediately. He was a portly man with a thick salt and pepper beard. He spoke with something of an accent, but the jist of what he said was "Deliver my shipment to fifth division HQ!" Yato offered a salute and grabbed the medium sized parcel. Turning to Roi he would motion for them to get moving down the path. "Alright, lets go!" The parcel wasn't super heavy, but he wasn't walking very fast, keeping a moderate pace. He didn't want to move to quickly, after all.

"Hold on now Baby Blues, we're supposed to be doing this together right?" After saying so Roi would attempt to pick up Yato and carry him and the equipment. If successful he would flash a smile as he continued walking and said, "See now we can both carry the provisions, everybody wins!" If successful it would be quite an interesting sight as the shorter man carried the bigger man without much effort and would even start to jog along the way as if getting some extra exercise in. Wild Roi was a fun loving guy and this was one of the most fun excursions he's had yet. Of course if none of this happened....eh....it is what it is.

Yato laughed as Roi hoisted him up onto his shoulders. It was always good to have fun when one could as they lived such difficult lives at times. His fun was cut short however as he heard a sound, similar to a growl. It seemed there were five hollows in the area. It was their job to take them down, so he would slip off of Roi's shoulders and place the parcel on the ground. "Alright, we have to kill these bastards and protect the parcel. You can leave them to me, or help out, just make sure they all die." His tone had shifted at the sight of the Hollows, he hated them. With all his heart. Drawing tengetsu he would use Shunpo to appear beside one, Tengetsu already inside its mask, slitting it in two. Four left. The one next to the one he had just killed lunged at him, but he caught it by the throat with his bare hand, inserted Tengetsu into its mask and then Tengetsu burst into flames, killing the second hollow, three left.

Roi had been enjoying himself so he was more then a little upset at the stupid hollows that dared to interrupt them! His fury turned into a thick and violent killing intent. He was the wildest beast here! Picking up a few rock's he decided it was time for some punishment! "Hadō #11: Tsuzuri Raiden!" After turning the rocks into his new weapons he threw them out aiming accurately at two different hollows filling them with holes in under a second breaking bth masks almost instantly. Next he pointed a finger at the last one remaining. "Hadō #4: Byakurai." He fired a bolt of lightning towards the last pest....

Roi sprung into action quickly as well, killing off two and then three of the remaining hollows. Good, their kind deserved nothing short of a painful death. Picking up the parcel, he decided he would walk himself this time, to help ease his mind of the hatred he was feeling from the encounter with the Hollows. Once they arrived at the Fifth Division HQ, they turned the parcel in and would quickly be ushered out, something about their Captain being on the verge of a breakthrough. Yato would turn to Roi, "Alright, we got that one done!" They were doing well, and Yato had returned to his normal cheery self.

Roi gave a satisfied dark chuckle as the last hollow fell beneath his lightning before smacking his lips at their weakness. Looking over he saw that the cutie was in a mood so Roi wouldn't be able to tease him as much, after all he wasn't a douche, and this put Roi in a pretty bad mood himsel. So much so he randomly picked up and threw out electrified rocks to destroy other rocks and similar unimportanat things....and one guy's wig but that totally wasn't on purpose! Anyway the other guy didn't see him throw it so he had no proof. Once they returned to turn in their second mission BB [Baby Blues] seemed to be in a better mod now. 'Hmmm, too bad he's in another division...I should visit the First Division to bug him more often.' Unbeknownst to Yato this nefarious thought already started to take root in Roi's mind. Instead Roi patted Yato's back just above his butt, because he couldn't reach much higher without jumping, and decided to give him some praise after all everyone loved to be praised every once in a while. "Nice going Baby Blues, Good Work!" Roi would give a thumbs up.

Mission 3:

Yato looked at the next mission and a small scowl made its way back onto his face. Another Hollow had wormed its way into the Soul Society. Handing the card over to Roi he would take a moment to calm himself. It wouldn't do to let his personal feelings interfere with the mission. "Alright, lets go!" He put a smile on, he wouldn't allow himself to bum Roi out when they were having such a grand time! It would be difficult to find the monstrosity, as it was apparently rather small, just the size of a large bird, so they would have to search for it before finally being able to purge it from the area.

Roi was curious when he noticed BB getting upset again and when he read the contents of the mission card he finally understood. Roi started to get a feel for some things about Yato and it was clear that among those things the most obvious would be his hatred for hollows. It's not like it was uncommon among shinigami. They were basically in a war against the creatures even if it didn't seem that way down at their level. War bred casualties which bred hatred and vendetta's. Roi sighed and scratched his head, he wasn't too good at most social interaction including cheering people up and stuff, that was his calm personality's territory. Suddenly his reiatsu changed again becoming calm and lazy once again. "Come on Little Blue, let's not dawdle. Every once in a while it should be fine to work out negative feelings with copious amounts of violence." Roi couldn't believe what he was saying he sounded like his wild side but his voice was clear, elegant, and unhurried. It was definitely the Noble side of Wild Noble. "We can find some....fun....from this as well....let's just go..." Roi was exasperated at himself. Was he a simp? Well whatever nothing to it but to do it. He headed off in the general direction of the different sightings of the hollow assuming Yato follows him.

Yato smiled as his new friend made an attempt at cheering him up, it was good to have friends. Yes, he did plan to unleash true hell on the little bird hollow once they found it, but more so, he planned to test his skills without using Tengetsu. He would instead rely on his own fists, or the chain he had picked up. Following behind Roi, he would begin to think of strategies to capture the beast, "Roi, do you have any barrier skills that we could use to cut off its escape?" It was a shot in the dark, but given his skill at Kido, wasn't impossible.

'Ah, he cheered up so easily. I must have gotten more charismatic.' This is what Roi was thinking as he strolled luxuriously along the path. Unlike his more serious compatriot he was thinking of how many positions he could get Yato in that might make him blush without chasing the man off. When the other man interrupted these thoughts he was a little guilty looking before adjusting himself and thinking for a minute before replying. "Hmmm I know some bakudo that can temporarily paralyze it as well as one to redirect it's attacks. I've also been working on s Kaido spell that uses spiritual pressure to enhance ones senses it's similar to an unarmed technique I've read about...." Roi trails off as he realizes he said more then had intended too. He looked up at Yato and thought....'Man, handsome people sure are scary. What skills!' After saying so his fox-like ears twitched and he felt as if he heard something strange but looking around he didn't notice anything off....

Yato was about to respond when he heard a sound that sent involuntary chills up his spine. They were getting closer. Looking over to Roi he would speak, his voice carrying a slightly more serious tone than the cheery one he usually had, "Can you use the sensing one you mentioned to find out where that sound came from?" It was definitely the Hollow, but Yato couldn't tell exactly where it came from, so he had no hopes of tracking it based on that alone, but hopefully his companion could aid in this.

Roi hadn't finished the technique yet but his sleeping partner could help with that! Roi touched the seeming wooden kendo blade at his waist and his fur began to shine with spiritual pressure as his spiritual senses multiplied a bit, just enough to turn to their lef suddenly a point. "Bakudō #1: Sai!" His movement's were precise and swift as a bird shaped thing with a distorted spiritual pressure was caught mid dive only five feet away from them. The sudden use of two different techniques especially the use of his sleeping asuchi which he was not yet proficient in left him a bit tired lagging. He could only focus on holding the newly found hollow in place for a minute and couldn't form an attack himself....

Yato wasted no time in attacking once the bird hollow was captured. Swinging his arm forward, the chain connected to his wrist would lash out and ensnare the bird, before he would slam it to the ground hard enough to crack the earth. But he wasn't done, he jerked the little bird to himself using a combination of his own might and the chain wrapped around the hollow to crush it into nothingness with his bare hand. All in all, it made him happy to see it vanish. Turning to his counterpart he would bid him adieu, knowing he would surely see more of Roi in the future. "Alright, that's that! See ya later Roi, i'm going to be headed back to HQ for now!"

Roi nodded to the man doing his best not to let him see his exhaustion. "Until next time Little Blue, See ya soon." With a lazy wink and chuckle he turned and strolled slowly back toward the Fourth Division before collapsing in his room in pain. A foreign name seemed to spin through his mind but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't understand what the name was. But he knew it was an important name. The last thought he had before losing conciousness was: 'I wonnder what Yato would look like in a swimsuit?'
