Drill Sergant [Mission/Private, Yato]

Mission Details:

Roi cursed a little to himself as he adjusted his Lieutenant badge on his chest. His Captain caught him being lazy again so she assigned him a mission to train, but instead of the free break he thought it would be he soon leaned another Captain would be "Training With" him and giving him an opportunity to learn some good training techniques in the process. Roi trudged over to the academy and found the training room he'd been assigned to. He had never officially gone through the academy but he could imagine it as he sat against the wall feeling like a student preparing to meet a principal. He closed his eye's and started working on his spiritual awareness training as he waited. He never did actually figure out who was supposed to be "Training" with him......

Yato was doing paperwork when he was approached by a messenger bearing news of a mission request from none other than another captain. It was a simple request to help whip a young Shinigami into shape who had been rather lazy recently. He wasn't one to condone laziness, so this wouldn't be too hard. He would simply emulate one of his old academy teachers that had scared him straight. He would pull on his white haori and make his way to the academy. Once he got inside, he found none other than a freshly promoted Roi sitting in the classroom. Yato would not hold anything back though, no favoritism. "YOU! I have heard that you've been rather lazy recently. I am here to fix that." He would speak in an unusually calm tone, not the usual chipper tone he spoke in, but one that was devoid of emotion. He also released the full pressure of his Reiatsu, while it didn't have a negative effect on Roi, it was also highly dense.

Roi who's been sitting practicing his spiritual awareness felt a chill rolling through his back all of a sudden then a voice that sounded like the calm before a storm came rushing into his ears it promised death or to at least make you wish for it. And just as Roi opened one eye he was caught off guard again as a thick but familiar spiritual pressure slammed down on him. His captain had actually suppressed his spiritual pressure by half so what should have been a slight discomfort became a life threatening dangerous pressure. Roi reached inside to his spiritual power but was unable to bring it out. Then he noticed who stood before him. It was Captain Baby Blue's but Roi had never heard his voice sound like that! It clearly sounded like a different person. Roi stood up sluggishly and grit his teeth. His crush wass getting bigger for some reason but Roi didn't dare to mess around.....he didn't want to die! "Captain?" Roi finally bit out this one phrase underneath Yato's thick pressure that secretly was doing it for him (not that he'd admit to that) and no, Roi sisn't use a nickname this time as he knew Yato was dead serious right noe.

Yato would not relax the pressure, if anything it would get even more intense as he drew his blade, slowly, deliberately. Not releasing eye contact with his rival. IT was his turn to spur growth. "Slaughter, Tengetsu." With that, the blade would grow much larger, its blade extending and expanding into a large buster-class great sword that Yato held to Roi's throat with one hand. "Today, I will teach you the virtue of hard work. Today, I will teach you the requital of sloth." His voice never rose in timbre, nor did his eyes move from their position locked with Roi's.

Roi felt his knees buckle slightly at the increase in pressure. But he bit his lip hard and struggled to stay standing anyway. Yato probably wouldn't be happy if he let himself fall to his knees with just that, and even if he was okay with it he was okay with it Roi would not accept doing so so easily. Roi wanted to curse his mothe...*ahem*...Captain, out in his mind, but before he could even think a killing intent exploded out near him and he wasn't given a second to wonder of it's origins as he soon discovered the source of the intent laying against his neck almost gently as if it was a deceitful magnolia that was clearly a man eating flower in disguise. Then as his brain finally managed to mush through the pressure a bit the Captain's words rang out in his mind and the cold and heartless eye locked onto his and no matter what he wanted he couldn't look away from the eye's of his rival....

Yato withdrew his blade and held it horizontally, parallel with the ground in front of him. He would then begin to condense his pressure into his blade before speaking again. "You know, you are about to become the only person to have ever seen this and survived. Behold..." He spoke slowly, methodically, not lying, though making it sound as though anyone else had actually seen his Bankai... but whatever. Suddenly, his pressure would explode back into the room with enough force to crack the ground beneath him while the air would become freezing cold as he uttered one word, "...Bankai..."

Roi had been barely hanging on but with the explosion of spiritual pressure he could not handle it and was brought to one knee. It was maddening! And he would not be able too keep going without some kind of support especially when he realized what was happening he pulled out his strongest card to keep from wiping out as soon as the training began. "Reign through Primal Earth Kyojin!" He even had to shorten Kyo's wake up call to wake it up in time. suddenly a multitude ove vines surrounded Roi in a cocoon sphere and grabing onto one he barely pulled himself back to a standing position inside of the cocoon. There was plenty of holes to see him clearly though as he did not have enough reiatsu to make enough vines to seal him all the holes. He could only grit his teeth.

Yato would bring his blade to rest at his side, it was clear that Roi was doing his all to hold on under the intense pressure. He would then pull his pressure back some, though the intense cold in the room would instead shift to a simmering heat, enough that the very air seemed to ripple with the heat. "I am your friend, you are my Rival. But, I will not allow you to become lax and weak. I need to you be with me as we defend Soul Society! And I need you at your best! I will accept nothing less!" It was meant to rouse his friend as a motivational speech, it even held something akin to his normal tone of voice.

Roi felt his blood boiling when he heard his friend's words. The speech seemed to inject him with chicken blood and he parted the cocoon stepping out one step at a time. Moving a bit easier since the pressure leaxed a bit. He was not satisfied. He wanted to be stronger. He would be more then the adorably cute fox-man that he was. And he WOULD some day get Senpai...uh....Yato, to Notice Him! Roi exploded his spiritual pressure inside himself. If he currently didn't have en ough to stand strong? Then he would make more! He would surpass himself right there and let his out of reach friend wathc him catch ujp before the man's eye's! He felt his spiritual power growing right before him even as half of it remained restrained. "Fight Me!" Roi roared this, finally not backing away or looking at his rival in shame. With more power raised (25 currently) Roi summoned an oak before him and ordered it to send a powerful punch with a bunch of it's branches at the Captain's bankai which he only just got a good view of what it looked like.

Yato smiled as it appeared his little speech had managed to kindle the flame back into his friend. Luckily for the two of them, since Roi wanted to fight, they were in what was known as a 'Danger Room' in the academy. It was guarded with unique kido spells and such that allowed them to actually go all out without alerting anyone outside or even causing permanent damage to the room or building. It was due to this that Yato was able to smile to himself before gaining his apathetic face again, "You want a fight, it is a fight you will get." As soon as he said that, he would use Shunpo to sidestep the oaken branches and then would swing his blade in a downward slice, sending a wave of black flames at his rival. He toned it down to avoid causing permanent damage, but the flames would certainly hurt if they hit, and would surely do well against the wooden attack. "Amaterasu."

Techniques:

"Not Yet, I'm Not Done YET!" Roi roared ferociously and his reiatsu rose once again (by 25 again) and not only that he was able to forcefully break through his captains barrier suppressing his power. "Ah!" With this shout more and more oak tree's grew in an instant until he were surrounded by them on all sides. There was toughly 10 all together. "Not Yet, I'm not done Yet." He shouted this more as vines shout out of the side of the new mini grove as the tree's in the front took the flaming attack already starting to burn down before him but the other tree's just shuffled forward and took the place of the tree's that got burned to a crisp. Meanwhile the vine's avoided the fire and started spinning like a drill as they rushed toward Yato still aiming for his Bankai. The impact of a bankai and a shikai power? Just how far was the distance between them? Roi brought the full force of his spiritual power into this strike as the fire would consume his small grove soon and he could not replaced them without having time to recharge his power thoroughly. This strike was his last stand and was also his solemn wish....His wish to see what his next goal would be!!! 'Little Baby Blue's What Can I Do To Reach You!'

Yato had to admit, his attack was fierce. Even when he burned it down, it persisted. It would seem that he had to go all out. Charging Reiatsu into his blade, the temperature would drop in the room to the point that frost developed on various areas of the room. It would seem that Roi was going for an an all out assault, so Yato would need to freeze him in his tracks. A downward slice from the blade would send a wave of white flames across the room, flash freezing the wood in place and coating Roi's body in ice, he would be in pain and would certainly find it hard to move for a while.
