Yato had arrived in a place that he didn't recognize once he had escaped the Soul Society. He immediately collapsed and lost consciousness upon his Hollowfied form dissipating. It was actually several days before he woke back up, and when he did, he knew that several things had happened. One, he was now a criminal of the Soul society and he would be hunted by all Shinigami. Two, he had somehow obtained Hollow-like abilities from that experiment and he would need to train himself to use them properly. This would be him doing just that.

He started by focusing on activating the power at all, it was clear that this would be the crucial step in mastery, would be learning how to don the mask he had originally. Placing his hand over his face, he would will it to take form. It was clear that it revolved initially around negative emotions such as those he felt at the time of his initial Hollowfication, so he would need to focus on drawing out those emotions, but not to the extent that he would lose control. He could also feel that his hollow powers had merged with Tengetsu, so he didn't know the ramifications of that.

Focusing hard, he finally manifested the mask over his face and he could feel his power increase the moment he did so. Next, he would focus on removing the mask at will, so as to both conserve it as well as he could but also to make sure that he didn't allow it to take control of him again. It was like he was watching himself do things, but not being in the drivers seat of his own body. Putting his hand to his mask and moving it in a discarding manner, the mask would vanish from his face as though wiped off.

Now, he would be focusing on increasing the amount of time he had in the form as it was a rather large drain on his reserves while he wore it. Placing it back onto his face with merely a thought this time, he would sit down in a meditative position to focus on improving his control over this new power. The area around him was overflowing with Reishi, he could tell he was in Hell. But, due to his ability to regulate his body temperature, he wasn't effected by the heat. He would probably be living here from now on.

Looking around the massive expanse he would open his eyes, gazing out through his mask. He would let out a sigh, his breath showing as the temperature dropped exponentially. He decided that while he was here, he would be building a base of operations so to speak. Looking around him as his ice took a new form, appearing black due to being tainted by his Hollowfied Reiatsu. He kept pushing more out, forming what amounted to a massive black ice castle that stretched high into the ceiling of his new home. It was beginning to look nice around here, and the ice was what he would refer to as permafrost, brining the temperature down to a bearable amount in the vicinity.

Yato looked around at his handywork. His mask still on, his castle built. He was now the king of Hell, which was extremely ironic given his hatred for hollows and the fact that he had spent the majority of his life killing them. Now... he was one. He chuckled to himself at the bitter irony, his mask distorting the sound of it to make it sound like the monster he felt like. Looking around, it felt like he really deserved to be here with what he had become. But, he would get his revenge for the bastard that betrayed him.
