Whispers.... [Mission]

Janus had gone into Tokyo because of something that had popped up on some of the forums she frequented, something about a haunted abandoned prison. She didn't think it was real but it wasn't her shift and she was fresh out of bruises so she figured it was time to get a few more. That way she could continue being the hero she was always meant to be. She had on her trademark coat, and a shirt with the logo for ACDC on the front as she headed towards the location on her phone of the abandoned prison, on the boundary of Naruki and Tokyo. The place was hidden up in the hills just off the main road so that not many people could find it without trying.

The young diviner, looked to the immediate future and found nothing that out of the ordinary. Which was just as well because she was heading into a prison that was most likely going to get her very dead very fast if something was actually there. It was a point she had come to learn over the past few weeks of trying different things with inter-dimensional beings and insanity. Though the second was more her style. The young diviner should have paid more attention to the posting as the poster seemed to strangely know she would read it just by how they had posted the topic.

Janus was once again being manipulated by something out of reach that she could not see because she wasn't able to look past her divination and into the more broad picture. It was most likely going to be her downfall but she never let that get to her enough to stop. To be honest, Janus didn't want to stop if only because she felt good being the hero.

The inside of the prison was dark, and she slid in the condemned doors rather easily before looking around and pulling out her phone. She turned on the light and the record because why not, this could be fun, as she walked past the main entrance towards the inmate processing area.

The prison was not as large as she thought, it definitely had been for years passed and not present as she used her divination to avoid stepping on something bad or hitting something that was on the ground just out of sight. She used a similar trick when running through forests and such to avoid tripping as she did so. It was simply muscle memory combined with her divination as she hoisted the camera towards the main guards chambers and wandered in.

The feeling, that gloom and disrepair washed over her again and Janus just knew there was a masked monster on their way. She had no one with free will around so it was easy to see where the monster, no monsterS would be coming from. They were in the cafeteria of the main prison, or they would be when Janus made her way there, so for the moment she kept looking around the guard area for some kind of souvenir or something.

The diviner then breathed heavily and focused hard, to see how she would fair against these particular masked monsters and was surprised when she learned they weren't that strong. Which was kind of odd but then again they weren't hunting people so she guessed they had some alternative purpose. She headed to the split and then into the cafeteria, looking at the pair of monsters, who both had roughly the same bodily form.

The must have been related masked monsters, they were both very canine like. They both had fangs and teeth but they weren't fast or strong. Janus simply bolted around the outside of the room as she sent other Janus projections at them to take swings and shots every few seconds. Eventually she managed to dissipate one, but the other grabbed her arm in its jaw, it hurt but didn't pierce the skin, which confused the Diviner to no end and Janus held onto the masked monster as another few projections made attacks at it until it finally vanished and she stood alone in the prison with a bad ache on her arm She didn't like it and she grabbed it with her other arm as she rubbed to try and get the sensation of being bitten out of her her mind.

She made her way out of the prison and was now completely confused as to why the last three masked aberrations were weaker than the ones before it. The diviner never even considered that she was stronger, though she probably wasn't by much. It simply seemed that she was in the right place at the right time. Which, for someone who could see the future, should have immediately set off every red flag in the book.

Janus eventually got home, posting the video she had taken on the forum. The topic was closed by a moderator a short time later, after only one comment was posted. It simply read, as if speaking directly at the diviner. "Not everything is as difficult as it seems, sometimes you get a win after a loss."
